$4000 turbo civic, how fast

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but am looking at buying a 1997 civic hatchback with 170k for $4000, I'll probably pay somewhere around $3500. I was wondering how much hp you think these mods would add as well as how fast it would run 1/4 mile time.
It has a t-25 turbo, 450cc dsm injectors, p06 uberdata (What exactly is that?) rfl blow of valve, front mount intercooler, magnaflow exhaust/ great down pipe, CAI, z6 si tranny, 6 puck clutch , and a greddy turbo timer.
It also comes with a z6 head and two bare soch blocks, what the heck are those?
Thanks for your help guys.

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't touch that car.

As long as the car isn't beat to ****, that's actually a pretty good setup. The "two bare soch blocks" are two spare SOHC (single overhead cam) engine blocks, and it sounds like he's giving you a spare cylinder head as well.

P06 is the code for the ECU in it and Uberdata is the programmable ROM chip that allows someone to tune the car for boost.

All this being said, this car will take some know-how to maintain and keep it in optimal running condition. Oil changes at least every 2000 miles because of the turbo, the clutch will be a lot different than you're used to. It will wear faster and also be more difficult to drive. Hopefully it's a spung 6-puck, vice a straight 6-puck. Makes it easier to get going from a stop.

Make sure it idles properly, doesn't throw any Check Engine Lights (CELs), and is solid under boost all the way to redline before you sign a check and take possession of the car. If not, you're in for a $3500 migraine...

If it all checks out sounds like a good deal BUT (and this is a huge BUT) it sounds like you do not have the know how to keep it maintained. Turbo cars are cool and all but (once again) they are high maintenance. Kinda like dating a model, you can brag about sleeping with her and show her off but the trips to Maui ain't cheap!

<sigh> In the interest of not "jumping down anyone's throat"....

By adding a turbo - a serious heat/engine stress/oil-consuming device that you've just spent upwards of $4000 on - you will simply wear the oil out faster. You will be driving the car harder as because boost is fun.

By this your maintenance category jumps up to 'Severe' and it's worth the extra $s to do oil changes more frequently. This is not a factory turbo setup on a car that's designed for it. We strap these on cars that aren't made for it and make them work. Take the extra step by doing more maintenance so you don't blow up your new toy.

I'm running synthetic oil in the Cummins and am changing oil at 15,000 mile intervals. I'm willing to bet it is much harder on oil then any little four-banger is. It regularly sees 1300*F EGTs and more soot in a day then your Civic'll see in a lifetime.

That being said...yes you are prolly talking about conventional oil. And yes, diesel oil is different, but 2k miles is excessive...

That's fine. I'm sure your diesel - which is designed for the turbo that's on it - is doing perfectly well with your maintenance schedule.

My little turbo'd four-banger - which is not designed for the turbo that is on it - will continue to get oil changes at every 2000 miles with synthetic oil. Better safe than sorry.
