Re: my suspension setup
got the sway bar in today, coilovers are on backorder for a few weeks =/
but just finished putting the sway bar in. progress 22mm.

came with their own endlinks, we will see how well they hold up.

not gonna lie the install was a huge pita. had to drill out 2 holes under the car to mount the bushings, remove the struts and springs and rotate them to get the bolt side on the front of the car for the endlinks since the nut on the bottom of the strut is welded on one side, and you have to remove the control arm to get the bushing mounts to bolt on. took me and a buddy about 4 hours to install. BTW most of the bolts that needed removed are VERY hard to get off. dont attempt if you dont have some nice sockets and a breaker bar.
HOWEVER after driving it...it handles SOOO much better. close to zero body roll and everything feels much tighter. the pita was way worth it.
also while i was at it today painted the valve cover and got ngk irridium IX plugs and ngk wires (didnt realize they were blue till i got home, would rather have some red or black ones). then took a file to the word honda, i like it.

Re: my suspension setup
ASR or BWR subframe brace, what do you have on now?
A progress one, or just the stock subframe..?

Re: my suspension setup
If you're changing LCAs, I strongly suggest changing you consider changing your order to ITR spec by the way, much better design..

Re: my suspension setup
stock subframe for now. after reading an article about subframe tearout i looked into the braces. might go with the blackworks racing one with blackworks lca's. as for the ITR specs i ordered through excelerateperformance and they didnt have them listed. ill probly just stick with the csII's and upgrade later if needed. already this whole setup is running me about a grand. i just had a couple hundred to spend so i figured might as well get the brace and some blingy lca's.

Re: my suspension setup
Careful bro, don't push it hard till you get the brace in.
I would go for the blackworks brace, because it's just a piece of metal. I wouldn't get the blackworks LCAs, they produce pretty poor quality parts and they have a bad reputation for bushing failure. I'll post a pic later.
Skunk2 and Function7 have bushings made by Energy suspension, that's why they actually last.

Re: my suspension setup
good to know. i will go with skunk 2 control arms and bwr brace.
i didnt even know what subframe tearout was untill yesterday lol. im assuming 22mm is fairly big to not have a brace.

Re: my suspension setup
Back to LCAs.
Bushings are difficult to figure out for some reason, don't ask me why. Skunk2 had a terrible reputation for control arms up until they switched to subcontracting out bushings to ES.
This is a 1 year old Blox LCA, just an example, they're basically all the same as bwr.

Re: my suspension setup
ouch...that bushing is demolished.
looks like im about to drop another 500 on the car.
at least i wont have to worry about those bushings. so all skunk 2 control arms have es bushings?

Re: my suspension setup
Yeah, all skunk2 and function 7 do.
Skunk2 also has free lifetime replacement if the bushings ever go bad, since failing control arm bushings seriously contributed to the junk2 nickname.
