I just want it too look good little to no gap with a 17 inch wheel and 205 40 series tire. please give me some ideas on how far to drop it thanks alot.

Re: lowering 97 civic
i would hands down go with eibach (let alone the dropping cars thing) im not much into dropping cars but i know the reputation that eibach has is... well lets just say its like K&N air filters has... high up there, so i would go with eibach. then again the other ones you can adjust the height to whatever you want. hope that helps.
Re: lowering 97 civic
go with Eibach springs. Stay away from buying used coilovers. The absorbers probably need an over-haul and that will offset you even more $ to get 'em rebuild/re-valved.
camber kits are needed only if you lower the car by a lot. Eibach's don't lower your car that much. An accurate alignment after lowering springs are settled will do the job.

I disagree with only needing camber kits if you drop by xx amount. Anytime you sway from stock ride height, your camber will be off by enough to put extra wear on the insides of your tires. Tire replacement cost > camber kit cost any day.

Re: lowering 97 civic
Camber can be adjusted within stock guidelines with lowering springs, it just depends how high the spring rates and how aggressive one drives.
