tearing off old suspension

I am currently taking off my stock suspension on my '98 hx civic. Does anyone have a video of how to put the new aftermarket suspension on, or like a "guide" Also, im looking at spending around $500. I just want to be able to whip in and out of turns with ease, any suggestions on what brand and what I actually need?

Thank you

Go with a shock and spring combo, you cant get coilovers for anywhere near that price unless your buying used.

Re: tearing off old suspension

lol this is the 3rd time ive treid to reply to ya... bloody internet!

yea its easy mate you dont need any info... just follow wjhat you did taking em off.... have you got spring clamps cos youll need em to get the old leg out! lowered sus going bk in just slots up and in, u may need a long pry bar to jiggle it in a bit but i did mine in like 3 hours, never looked at the sus before either...

def get ya self some strut bars... theyll keep it tight on corners and turn understeer into lift off over steer better too... lowering makes em better fo sure! but them bars will stiffen up

ebay have some 7 point stut bars... accross seatbelt posts boot upper lower front upper lower etc etc etc

good luck dood! watch ya fingertips!!!!1

Re: tearing off old suspension

ill do you a guide...

first un hook at top... (2 bolts over stursts (NB dont un doo the middle one (this keeps the spring n strut together)

unhook the bottom bolt... (place spring clamps round spring n tighten) push leg up and lift towards and out from top...

new leg.... push tiop in first... bolt but dont tighten... push bottom in. bolt but dont tighten... tighten from bottom. then tighten top then go over and tighten again...

if this makes sense then a ok... if not just get in there and get going... its easy suspensions to sway... after all its honda and they've thought about it!

good luck bro
