Most important thing to know is to mark which ignition wire goes where on the dizzy and to mark where the dizzy came off and put the new one on in the exact same spot. Otherwise you risk throwing the timing out of whack on the car and that is NOT a good thing.

Not really, all that holds the dizzy on is two or three bolts. I don't really think you need too many tools. It's been a while since i've removed one though

You can do it without the timing light if you mark things properly
It is a good idea to drive it over to a shop and make sure everythign is timed though. good call
