Exclamation Electrical Problem, 92 Civic

Looking for answers with this problem I've started having.

Twice, this happened:

After having used the A/C and having turned off the car, returning to turn it on minutes later the car chokes and doesn't start. The Check Engine light starts running when I rev the engine, but it's not enough to get fully started.

But if I wait an hour or so, the car starts just fine.

Could someone explain this to me?

I also noticed that I get 0 RPMs at idle, could this have anything to do with it? The car always feels like it's not running powerfully enough, and feels as if it could die any minute.

Thanks for reading --

Re: Electrical Problem, 92 Civic

replace your Igniter in the disstributor. the 0 rpm at idle is a telltail sign of ignitor failure. (since the tach comes off of it.)

alot of early hondas (88-95ish) had this problem.
