Pesky brake light

Last winter I began having my e brake light coming on and staying on while the brake was off. It usually is off in the summer unless it cools down in the evening or I am driving at highway speeds. I can tell that the brake is not on and the break works fine. Is it just a sensor? If so I don't mind not having a brake light so could I just pull it somehow?

Re: Pesky brake light

Check your brake fluid level in reservoir under the hood.

Low fluid level will trigger this light also.
