A/C Repair: Why So Many Seals?

Bought a seal kit and replaced them all. So, why do I still have 200 o-rings?

Pretty sure they are universal gasket kits. I still have almost as many after replacing every component. I've got at least 4 of each size left, some sizes more like 8.

They are cheap so it makes more sense to have more of them in a package. Also, if you were to lose some or damage some during installation, it's good to have extras on hand.

Speaking of... I forget which exactly it was for (probably the filter/drier), but there was one specific gasket that, technically there was one that fit, but the one that came with the new component seemed to fit better. I think it was the electric component on the filter/drier. I took it off and swapped the gasket, but noticed the one from the seal kit wasn't exact. Then when I pulled the plug out of the new filter/drier, I found one that fit more precisely, so I went with that.
