Engine Acceleration/Deceleration Issue

Hello, I have a 1998 civic cx, D16y7,. I drove the car yesterday morning, went 32 miles, no check engine, no issues. Parked the car, then 1 hou later drove 6 miles to work, no check engine, no issues. 1/2 hour later drove car about 4 miles and check engine light comes on. The car then started to act up,
while going at a steady speed, the engine would decelerate as if the ignition was cut off, t hen 4 or 5 seconds later would cut back on. So, from that point on it would cut off and on repeatedly. I jumped the ecu and got 1 long blink on the check engine light, which did not repeat over and over like other codes. I can't find a code 100 in the OBDII list. Any Ideas? Thanks, BOZOtc

Get the code read. Many parts stores will do this for free.

Get the actual code number (in the standard OBD2 "Pxxxx" format), then you have something to look up.

OP... you may have meant CEL code P0100. http://www.obd-codes.com/p0100 6th Gens do not have a MAf sensor but does have a MAP sensor on the throttle body. Map sensor testing: http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/hon...e-map-sensor-1

Re: Engine Acceleration/Deceleration Issue

^Blink code format doesn't correspond to any OBD2 codes.
OP needs the real OBD2 code read.
