1000 dollar car.

hello, im new to this forum and i just bought a 00 lx civic 1.6 sohc. it seems like a nice car. the owner was a family member who hit a deer, he decided to throw it in the gutta n go buy an 09 si, anywho all it really needs is a head light and a hood. im wondering if i could plastic epoxy the hole that was tore in the top of the radiator. the radiator is capped with plastic ends and still holds all the fluid after it was driven ten miles! The little dick broke off when the core support was smashed in. the hole is not very small maybe the width of a pinky finger and half as long. thanks.

Re: 1000 dollar car.

I really suggest you dish out the money and get a brand new radiator.

You don't want to drive along and the hole coming apart from the vibrations and pressure inside.
Last thing you want is to drive with a bunch of radiator fluid gushing out, steam everywhere.

Re: 1000 dollar car.

Dude with the experience I have with overheating, get a new radiator, spend the $80-$150 on a good one, try eBay or some well known store, get and all aluminum radiator, and make sure the core is at least 1.50" try going for a two row. Ive had my coolant gush everywhere its not fun, really not fun...
