custom alt motor mounts
Have a 2000 Civic . Base 4 cly. had a wreck and broke the motor mount inside the timing cover. BAD BAD. it actually broke the block flange. I can get it welded BUT I was told someone may make a custom mount that attaches to diferent engine points and back to the fender mount mount. Anyone ever heard of this??? 10 years ago I know there were some availbale for these Civics. Thanks

I broke my motor mount and found a bracket that bolts to the front of the head on one side and the alternator bracket on the rear and I believe it is much stronger than the original mount. It was a few years ago and I'm sorry I don't know the manufacturer. I will try to find out and post back. I also had heli-coils tapped into the broken mount holes and it held for a few weeks but eventually got ripped out of the block.
