Crank shaft sensor on an HX?
I've got a 99 HX. I wa driving down the road and the car just cut off. I thouht it was the distributor, so I changed it. No fire to the engine. Thought it was bad, went and got ANOTHER one, still no fire. I check the voltage to the distributor and its getting power, so its got to be my crank shaft sensor. My ECU is throwing 3 different codes. 80, 7, and 3. One is a TPS sensor, one is a map sensor, and the other is some kind of emission BS. Anyway, how to I change a crankshaft sensor in a 99 HX?

Here's a DIY for changing the timing belt on your engine, the CKF sensor is behind the timing belt cover and therefore you will need to follow the majority of the steps up to 13 to gain access to it.

Re: Crank shaft sensor on an HX?
The only thing the scanner shows is a code 80 which is the emissions thing. I'm assuming its a crank shaft sensor because what else could possibly make it just stop? I thought it was out of gear, but I put it in first after it stopped, and it wouldn't rev or anything. It's like the engine died. It was running just fine and then it just stopped. All my lights and everything still come on. It turns over when I turn the key, but it just has no fire. Plugs n wires are all brand new
