Please help - Left Front Squeaking Noise
Please help - Left Front Squeaking Noise
Hi Everyone,
I would appreciate help on this its driving me crazy.
So last week w/ the Timing belt DIY on the forum, my friend and i tackled the changing of the timing belt, water pump, and the 3 assessory belts.
When we remove the top mount, I notice on the lower half of the engine there was a rubber piece that i guess acts like an absorber, but it was torn. The piece looked like this if i'm not mistaken http://www.autocarspare.com/catalog/...842sr3984.html
Didn't think anything of it, we installed belts finished the job. I realized the next day when going over a bump, speed bump. I'm hearing a loud squeaking noise from the left. When i stand outside and press up and down on the feder i hear the sound as well.
In look up symtoms someone on anothe forum said something about a lower ball bearing boot. But if i'm not mistaken that deals more w/ the suspension.
Do you guys think this damange engine mount rubber insulator would cause this noise. Is this something I can purchase at a autozone, advanced or do i need to get from dealer.
Any help would be much appreciated, I also very worried if I shoudl still be driving the car w/ this issue.
Please advise
Thanks in advance.

Re: Please help - Left Front Squeaking Noise
Motor mounts would be a clunking sound. If you hear a squeak when you push the car down it's the suspension. Inspect all the rubber and replace any worn pieces. If you still having problems it may the the top mount bushing. Which requires dis-assembly of the strut assembly.
