Grinding sound at the very end of braking
Grinding sound at the very end of braking
At the very end of braking, especially on a hill or when braking quickly, I will hear this odd grinding sound from the front of the car. I just had new brake pads put in, so I don't think it is the pads. I had my mechanic check it and he thinks it was just the car adjusting to the new pads. A week later it's still doing it. No squealing/whining at all. Just a grinding sound, but not until the very end of braking/coming to a stop. Any idea what it might be?

Re: Grinding sound at the very end of braking
its normal if youre talking about the noise it makes when the car is barely moving and you are pressing the brakes. esp if the pads are new, it can take at least 500 miles of city driving til they break in. my rears are the worst since getting new shoes installed.
