paint chipping on 3 week old civic
Hi Guys,
This is my very first honda and I purchased it just 3 weeks ago. Already I have two chips one the hood down to the bare metal with rust showing. I understand that your going to get chips no matter what but is this normal? The car hasn't even had time to bask in the elements. I don't know alot about cars and if chipping like this is normal I'll deal with it, but if it's not any advice would be helpful. Thanks everyone.

You've had the car for 3 weeks, but the car is at least 11 years old since it's been released into the elements. My car has paint chips. They're small that someone walking by wouldn't even notice. I used some touch up paint to fill in the worse ones. I also clean my car every chance I get. My hood has a few, too. I've just learned to deal with it. I live and work in areas where rocks fly.

yeah, just go to a autoparts store and get a rust protection stuff before it starts to rot and it should be good. The worst one have the anti-rust for years now.
