solenoids will have nothing to do with the issues either - tons of threads in the site concerning trans problems - not so much on the 6th gen, but they do happen..
Re: timing belt?
So, what are the signs that the timing belts is ready to go? I have an '02 EX with 117K and am aware of the suggested maintenance schedule. However, I'm just trying to figure out if I want to keep the car and do all the work that will be coming soon.

Re: timing belt?
There are no symptoms of a timing belt going, it functions exactly the same from the time it's installed till it snaps. If you want to check the condition of the belt then remove the timing belt and look at it.
