ADVICE
Someone is selling me some JL XR 6.5's today.Does anyone know anything about these speakers? "Supposedly" has a crossover on the back or something like that. I currently am running some eclipse point source 6.5's in the front and would put the jl's in the rear since i have a sub to take care of the bass, what do you all think about that set up?
Put the eclipse's in the rear and put the XRs up front, they're much better speakers. Point source is eclipse's lower end line, XR is JL's top end speakers. Definetly buy those speakers.
oh god, pointsource is NOT eclipses lower line of speakers!
but you are correct sir, the XR's will blow them away. put those up front. they come with an offboard crossover, that goes uaully inside the door.
the XR's are sweet. plenty of midbass capability for you! couple that with a smooth tweeter, and youve got a smooth set anyone can love

well got them installed
my "audio guy" recommended the eclipse in the front because of the silk tweeter because it will give me the smooth crisp sound
and the jl's in the back because of the aluminum tweeter would give that loud "tssst" "tssst" sound that tweeters make
it sounds great
