Quick Underbody Neon Question

A while back, I got a set of underbody neons from a group buy my friend was involved in on newbeetle.org. They aren't any namebrand that I know of, but the instructions mention "Starship" as the manufacturer, and "KOOLGLO" as the product, I think.... Anyway, I've had the worst luck with the damn things, not in function, because I only saw them function for a few minutes before my car jumped the ramp and I broke one, and then I backed out of a driveway too fast and broke another, and yea it just went on from there. So at this point I have 3 tubes waiting to be put on again. I need to get a 4th one, but the company that did the group buy is no longer in business. My question is, will any old neon tube from other types of kits work? I'm not sure of the voltage of the transformer, but I'm thinking it might be 9500 since the ghetto instructions also mention "TRAN-9500." Anyway, any help you guys can provide me with is appreciated. Thanks! If you need any other information to help answer, let me know.

lol talk about bad luck, IMO just trash the garbage and get street glow, life time warrenty with those unless you "jump the ramp" again, then your on your own.

I'm sure that Streetglow or liteglow would work with it but I don't know where you are going to get just one tube. Best thing would be to get a new one, go with liteglow neon or LED underbody kit. I might be able to get you a good deal. Email me if you are interested kthao@charter.net

any tube with the same wiring as your previous tubes will work with it, i have lowglow or liteglow and the replacment tubes are around 20-30$ each depending on if you broke the little one or the longer tube.. good luck.

Are you saying that you sell these replacement tubes? If so, I may be interested in buying one of the shorter ones. If you need me to, I can take a picture of what I have so you can help me determine what I need to do.

i'm not a dealer or anything but if you don't know where else to get them i can get some for you cuz my friend is a wholesaler. call around to your performance shops and see how much they want just for the bulb cuz it might be cheaper then me becuase you would have to pay shipping costs and all that crap
