need suggestions & comments on MP3 player...
I'm looking to get an Mp3 head unit this week, was set on either the Pioneer DEH-P8500MP or the Alpine CDA-9813...
If anyone that has either of these could let me know what they think and what speakers they use or think would be good i'd really appreciate it!!
or if anyone has any suggestions on another head unit let me know, also let me know where you think the best place to get it would be too...
thanks in advance for your help, it is greatly appreciated!!!!!1

I have a pioneer 840mp premier deck and it is sweet. Tons of features and very clear EL display. I really like the pioneer but have heard good things about alpine as well.

ALpine or Pioneer are both good brands. They make excellent HU's and you should be happy with either model. Do some research on www.crutchfield.com and compare the two models...See which one includes all the things you are looking for and then buy that HU.

i must admit though, i really do love the way the pioneer 8500 flips down...
thanks again... still curious if anyone knows where to get a dash kit that will let me keep the door to the storage space under the radio, or should i just modify the kit i get?? hmmmmm, always something to wonder about isnt there??

Check this thread, it shows the kit you are refering to.
I love my Alpine 9813. IMO it sounded better then my Pioneer 840 but when it comes to the display the 840 was 100 times better. The alpine display is horrible and can't be seen at all during the day and very hard to see at night because of the way it sits in our dashes. I am working on relocating my deck so it won't matter soon.
