wireing mids?
is wireing the mids the same as wireing the subwoofer? for example if i have a amp that pushes 50x50 @ 2ohms and i have two 6x9 that is 4ohms 50watts rms. can i just wire them in a parallel or series (forgot if that was what it was called)? will i get 50 watts to each or will the 50 watts be separated between the two 6x9?
Slightly confusing post, but I think I get your point. Speakers dont generally get wired in series or parallel, since there is only one set of terminals. You just run the + and - of the left side to the matching left terminals on the amp. No fancy wiring needed. Same for the right side. You dont have a whole lot of wiring options on this one.....heh. To figure out how much power you are gonna get, find out at what ohm the amp pushes 50 watts. Since most speakers are 4 ohm, look for an amp that is 50x2 at 4ohm. The amp will then push 50 watts to EACH speaker, for a total of 100 watts.
Since your amp is 50x2 at 2 ohm, then you will get 25 watts to each speaker. Technically you could bridge the amp, but then you would need two amps-one for each side.
