Quick Question

I have a 01 LX coupe...
I added a aftermarket alarm...clifford ,....and they added pins in the door locks to make the alarm also keyless entry.

MY question is..when i get into the car..close the doors and turn the ignition both doors lock automatically...when i turn the key off both doors unlock?????????????????????? imo pretty hype feature...helps to get out quicker and not have to fumble lookin for the switch or manual lock...

Is this a factory setting or is it the alarm that gave me this feature..
My wifes LX sedan dont have this...she has the stock keyless entry by honda?

any input will help

thanks

It's not a feature on the EX is all I can say, it turns on the interior light but that is about it. I would bet it is the alarm. Did it do this before you had the alarm, or did you say you didnt' even have power door locks, if you never had locks until now then of course it's the alarm.

It is a feature that comes with the Clifford alarm. My Clifford alarm would do the same thing, but I got frustrated with it and had the dealer turn it off. To my knowledge, no Honda comes equipped with the auto-lock feature on the standard keyless.

Yeah I have an EX too with the stock alarm and keyless and it doesn't do any of that. All it does is turn on the dome light when i turn the car off.

I have an EX 01 and the alarm. I like the feature although my wife gets pissed about it sometimes because I will get in the car and turn it on, then she walks up to the door to get in and it is locked. Kinda funny to see her face at that moment, but then I hit that little button on the door that unlocks both doors. Kind of a weird button if you ask me but it works.....
