amp power connection
amp power connection
ive had my system hooked up for a while, i have a 600 watt amp powering my subs, and i used 4 guage wire, i have a kenwood amp and both the + and the - power terminals are right next to each other, and the slots for them are really small, i dont know why, the fork like connectors that go on the end of the wires dont even fit in the terminals, so until now i have been grinding the edges down so that they would fit, but if the subs move a little bit the forks break! so theres gotta be another way of doing this! help me ? how and where can i get the stuff?

you dont need the forks... you can just stuff a small end of the wire under the 2 little plates that clamp down on each other, it'll be perfectly secure.... before i cared for appearance, i had it like that for some time

You can do that but then you take the chance of a strand of wire reaching over and touching the opposing terminal.
Best resolution IMO - get a distribution block and a foot or so of 8 guage wire. Run the 4-guage to the d-block (I have mine mounted right next to the amp) then run an 8 guage wire(s) out the other side to your amp(s). I can take a pic tomorrow if you'd like for more clarity..
EDIT: You could get a gold plated d-block for less than 10 bucks, and a couple feet of 8 gauge for like $0.50, and some more 8-guage spades for a few bucks. ~$15 bucks and you'll never have to worry about it again. Plus, you'll have very nice, clean, and secure connections.

I would start be securing the box in the trunk so it doesnt move also. It sounds like you dont have much excess wire back there. Might wanna consider the d-block also to give yourself some extra slack.
