Crutchfield Referral :)
Crutchfield Referral :)
Ok, well I just ordered an amp and stuff from crutchfield the other day and I used a referral code that another member posted on here just like I am doing and I saved 20 bucks. It was awesome.... but at the same time he gets 20 bucks towards his next order. So if anybody would like to do this give them this referral code for me, so you can save and so can I! i usually dont touch stuff from crutchfield... too pricey, but if i could spend 30 bucks on a 50 dollar item... maybe, how much is the minimum i have to spend to get the 20 bucks off
I don't think there is a limit. They never said anything about one to me. You place an order and tell them you have a referral code and you should get 20 dollars off.
EDIT: Nevermind... You have to have an order of $200 or more to receive the $20 off. But still, not a bad deal if they have something you need. They do send you extra stuff sometimes for the install, like I'm installing front component speakers and they send all the hardware necessary for the install (spacers, brackets or whatever).

Crutchfield is usually WAY overpriced on its products, which probably because it is an authorized dealer for all of its products. With the amount of money you would save from buying from another reputable dealer you could probably buy your own spacers and adapters and still save more then 20 bucks. I have learned the hard way with this...always finding stuff for cheaper.
A few years back I ask a friend who did my systems and all of my fiends systems about a crutchfield catalog that he had, and he said to me " It is good for reference, but I would never buy anything from there"
These are some places that I have actually ordered from and had a good experience, and good prices:
Onlinecarstereo.com (My personal Favorite)
The Zeb
Sound Domain (can be a lil pricey)
Ikesound (great prices, but limited choices on good products. Also, I was happy with one item that I bought from them, but another item that I bought from them looked like it had been open and used-but it worked fine)
These are other places that have really good products and prices, but i have never ordered from:
ampman.com
woofers.etc

IVe probably ordered some $6-$8k in auto related parts and accesories from 10-15 different places. I must say I have had the best service, quickest shipping...from crutchfield. They do everything top notch, free return for any reason, auto tracking, its guaranteed to arrive within 3-5 day of being ordered. Not to mention if you buy stuff like a head unit or speakers they send you the harnesses, and all necessary mounting equip. for free. As many of us well know those costs add up. Im not affiliated with crutchfield in any way I just want to let those bargain hunting to save 5-10% to watch out. Ive had the wrong speakers show up six weeks late with my credit card being charged the day i place my order. (ive also had wheels show up 3 months alte but that a whole nother story)
I just happen to be the one who benefittd from the first crutchfield shopper but your only allowed two referals a month(so thanks for the free monster cables!)

Crutchfield is tops, no question, when it comes to service an reliability. However, the don't have a lot of higher end products...most stuff can be found at crutchfield can be found at Bestbuy, good guys , or circuit city. I personally have had good experiences with several online retailers, including cruthfield, but crutchfield is not the end all, be all ,source for car audio. Shopping around and going with places that trusted people recommend would be my best advice to anyone making a purchase online.

my new personal favorite store is ultimate electronics, they carry some nice stuff. my friend bought 2 pairs of boston acoustics rx67's from them, they were on clearance, but then the fool realized that his car is made for 4x6's in the front, and 6x9's in the rear, and since he bought them, not only on clearance, but to save even more money, he asked them to give him a bigger break by having them make the speakers "open box", haha, needless to say, they wouldn't take them back, so he sold them to me. uh, what was i talking about? oh yea, they sell great products.
dont get me wrong, bestbuy and brutchfield have great products to, but i would have to say that ultimate electronics not only caters to those who are on a budget, but they also have stuff for hardcore audiophiles.
