installed system and
installed system and
welpz i finally installed my system, but now im having problems with i believe the ground, when ever i punch the gas i get a whiring like whine in my speakers, is this because of my ground? i used the one bolt on the rear seat as my ground.. any other suggestions?
my rcas are by monster cable, and all my other wires are made by scocshe im using 4 guage wire for power and ground, i ran the rcas down the left side and i ran the power down the right side. i didnt have problems at first this just started happening.
My 4 gauge ground came off my amp a week after i installed it, the amp would turn on and off making the music pop. This really freaked me out until i found out what was wrong. What bolt did you use? Under the seat or behind it? You could be too close to the fuel pump, just a suggestion.
i used the one thats right behind the seat, the second one..... its just one big *** blt. also i found out that my ground came loose from the connector, my system used to bump alot louder and now its really low hitting any suggestions? also some specifics with the ground please help a fellow 2k1er out, oh by the way i have 2 kenwood 10s in a parallel connection running to my briged amp at 600 watts..
oh also my amp gets hella hot is there something i should do for it? its on the trunk floor.

Okay...use either the rear seat bolt..or the seat belt bolt on the passengers side as your ground...Also..your amps getting hot because if those are DVC 4ohm subs..your running in 1 ohm mono...
To check to see if a sub is blown or ANY speaker for that matter.....use both hands to hold the speaker and GENTLY push down on the cone with your thumbs..get your head down there real close...if you hear a scratching sound or feel something rubbing and making a scratching sound...its blown. Or you could get out a volt meter too...I just prefer the old fashion thumb trick....lot easier than digging thru the tool box to find my meter
