Rep Power: 0 Poor display on Alpines?
just had an alpine 7874 installed in the 2002 EX coupe and the display is barely visible, totally washed out in daytime. not much better at night. is this a standard alpine problem? is there a way to brighten the display? if I'm rehashing an old topic.., well I'm new. thanks

Rep Power: 0 nope, i have the alpine 7875 and its not clear at all. its b/c the dash is at a slant. i will on the other hand relocate the cd player to the cigarette lighter piece, so the display should be better down there.

Rep Power: 0 i just put in my new Alpine CDA-7995 and i can see it fine. and if your having problems at night u have real issues. If you hit the Setup buttom you can scroll through and there is a Contrast setting you can change. or at least mine does... mine would work great down below cause it has a motorized face that you can tilt back up and u can even control it from the remote. But i plan on putting the screen down there so its gonna have to stay where it is. I can't afford to have the screen up high in case i'm driving at night cause u could see right in to it and then all i would see is blue lights behind me every night....
