Remote central locking not working?

I've tried all the steps of ew programming my key fob and they all work up until I go to test it the car will lock from outside and in where nothing happens.
Key fobs battery and car batter is fine and both work.
It's a 2004 1.6.

The key fob worked and could lock and unlock the car fine then suddenly stopped.

Re: Remote central locking not working?

Test the lock actuator for the drivers door, it's the 'master' and the other ones are slaves. When I bought my car the power lock actuators for both of the drivers side doors had failed, so the key fob wouldn't do anything. Replaced the drivers door actuator and the fob worked again. Had to repair the wiring in the door as well as replace the actuator to get the rear door working again.

I don't think it will be that because the doors lock with the key or the switch on the driver's door that locks them all?

Re: Remote central locking not working?

So when you use the lock switch on the door it will lock and un lock all 4 doors? Then the problem probably lies with the receiver module.

In this thread the guy put keyless into a car that didn't have it originally. Might have some useful info: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...r-2002-lx.html
