Key Fob Working Intermediately
Key Fob Working Intermediately
Hello all.
I just replaced my actuator for the driver's side door on my 03 ex coupe. In the process of going shaved and yet having wire or power issues to the door locks intermediately.
Details:
I got the car used and the door lock had bad fingers and the fob was broken. I got a new fob and was going to have the locks replaced and fingered for my key. I then decided to go shaved. So I put the new actuator in for the power locks. Programmed the fob and it has been working seamlessly for a week. I get up this am and go out to get in the car and the doors do not unlock. The fob seems dead yet lights up. I figured the dome light was left on and used my key to enter via trunk. I checked the dome light to see if I had battery power and I did. So I unlocked the door from the inside and crawled back out of the trunk. I got in and it started up and I let it run a few minutes. I got out and closed the door. The fob worked and it locked and unlocked. A few moments later I went to unlock it and poof!, it wouldn't work and I had to go through my trunk again. I went next door to my mechanic friend and it worked great without touching a thing. 25 minutes later......not working, Hi Mr. trunk!
I am wondering why it would work then not? Seems to run great after wiggling the enclosed wires that run between the door and car yet is that the real culprit?
Any info would be great!
Thank you,
Kristoco
