Special Edition 6 disc in dash changer wattage?

I've done my google searching, and can't find the answer..

I'm trying to find out what this factory option deck puts out for speaker wattage, continuous.

I'm debating whether to hook up an Alpine amp I have, and upgrade the speakers..

However, the Alpine amp is 15yrs old and only puts out 30w per channel! I'm wondering if a newer stock deck may put out that range, thus I can just upgrade the speakers and let the deck run them..

..anyone know? Thanks.

Stock decks usually put out 30W or more. Pull the head unit and see if it say anything on the sticker.

30W PEAK, sure.

30RMS/continuous, no way in hell.

His old Alpine is likely under rated and capable of slightly more than 30RMS, but without the model number of the alpine, it's difficult to be certain.

Either way, I can't see the OEM unit producing more than the Alpine amp, but the slight increase isn't likely to make much of a difference.

The OEM stereo is protected by what, a 7.5AMP fuse? I wouldn't expect more than 20RMS AT BEST from it.
