Fob

My fob has been intermittent off and on for a few weeks. Replaced the battery, opened it up and pretended to DVOM it but have no idea what to check over certain parts except ohms. None are open, but have no idea how much is too much over which parts. Long story short, it failed to lock me tonight and someone dug through it and stole a car seat. High time to get a new one. What is the cheapest place to get one?

Re: Fob

Just FYI if you go with new, when I bought (what I thought would be only one) fob for my moms car, there was a pair in the package.

Parts catalog said nothing about one or two in the written description.

Re: Fob

Look into aftermarket fobs. You can get some basic to fancy ones. Viper and CompuStar are 2 popular ones.

Re: Fob

Those are for aftermarket systems far as I can tell. I have an oem installed, my fob just don't work. The Honda parts are ridiculous, but all the ebay ones are "preowned", kinda scares me....
