Re: Change cluster..!!!! Help

um, only the 01-02 lx/ex clusters are a direct swap. if you got one of the fancy looking 03-05 lx/ex LED clusters with blue or red rings, you need to completely rewire the connectors.

Re: Change cluster..!!!! Help

you need all the wires connected to test that. each wire does something different (one for lights, one for tach, gas, odo, warning light, etc).

Re: Change cluster..!!!! Help

i went into this swap blind i did it too and the wiring diagram in the thread that gear posted is exact the only thing is you have to tape off a wht/red wire as it is not used in the new harness arrangement. the paperclip pin popping technique is also spot on and worked perfect the first time and everytime just follow that diagram exactly and if you dont want to unplug your battery just be very careful and make sure no wires touch thats what i did its risky but doable and also im not sure if you know but mileage is stored in the cluster the the ecu like my frame engine and trans is at 119k but the cluster reads 185k miles i have yet to figure out how to roll it back or find a shop that does.. but to conclude follow that wiring diagram exactly and i ignore the abs light if you want to fix that you will have to read into that thread some more

Re: Change cluster..!!!! Help

I do it the easier,, look at this ---- I have the 2004 DX blk / yel = gas, in the diagram EX does not appear blk / yel,,, and these are the I have connected,,,, pnk / blu = 3, wht / grn = 6, wht / blu = 7, blu = 8, wht / red = 17, yel = 18, blk = 22,,,,,,in the harness blue plug not appear grn/yel=right signal indicator...these are the only 2 problems that remain, such as I can solve.?
