Which Wires Go Where

I'm putting a Pioneer DEH6300-UB in my 2003 LX. I have everything I need. I'm just a little confused. Some wires from the metra wiring harness I got don't match up to what's on the pioneer powercord/harness.

Here's a little table I made of what matches and what doesn't:

Here is how I wired my Pioneer up

Metra-Pioneer Harness
Yellow-Yellow (Constant 12v)
Orange/White-Not connected
Orange-Orange/White (Illumination +)
Blue-Not connected

Hope that helps.

Re: Which Wires Go Where

I also think you have the first one wrong, you will probably find the radio never turns off.

Metra harness-red

Pioneer harness-red

This is switched 12volt wire

Metra harness-yellow

Pioneer harness-yellow

I could be wrong, once again that is just how mine matched up not as the memory wire.
To help you figure it out, its
the white/red wire from the OEM harness thats constant 12v
the yellow/red wired from the OEM harness thats switched 12v
This is on the 2004 it could be different with your year.

This is the constant 12v wire

Re: Which Wires Go Where

Just curious, did you have the red and yellow wires switched by accident?

I put them the way you had it.

Red to red, yellow to yellow.
