Window Motor Harness
Need a bit of quick help, Driver side window is dying, need to diagnose to see if it's the motor or my switch that's dying before purchasing the motor.
Anyways, I thought I saw a wiring guide not too long ago, but for the love of me, I can't find it
I just need to know which wires are for up/down for window so i can use a paper clip to test

Re: Window Motor Harness
The pic I took is too big for imageshack and photobucket will kill the resolution.

Re: Window Motor Harness
Its from the back of a Haynes manual
you could always take the switch assembly apart and trace the circuits.

Re: Window Motor Harness
Well, after taking it apart, I guess i learned jack squat

I'll prolly wing it and make a guess, just like defusing a bomb right?
Worse comes to worse, i'll prolly pop a fuse or break something that's already been broken =/

Re: Window Motor Harness
the little grey tab is the driver window switch. flip it over, you may be able to trace some of it out.

Re: Window Motor Harness
I would apply power direct to the motor (disconnected from circuit) RED/BLK & RED/YEL.
I had some large guage zip cord and ran it from the battery direct when I had problems with my window.

Re: Window Motor Harness
Screw it, I couldnt figure it out, I'm guessing by the diagram, I had to ground it somehow...
Anyways, I cleaned contacts, no signs of any burns anywhere. Plugged it back in, and motor sounds like it's sputtering its last revolutions.
Will order new motor and call it a day.

Re: Window Motor Harness
I'm getting faster. It took me 4 minutes to get the door apart, 10 minutes to pop the rod (from the other thread)grrrr... and 6 minutes to get it back together. lol
