vent mode control light+read defogger button lights out
I tried to replace the stereo with no luck coz i did a short and blew back up fuse which affecte my central locking+all lights on the 3 round ***** for the ventilation+defogger button light. I changed the back up fuse but still have the "1 vent mode **** and deffoger button without lights" Didn't checked the fuses under the steering wheel yet.
Does anyone have any ideas ?

If the other HVAC bulbs are working then you either have... left a plug disconnected or knocked both filaments or bulbs loose.
One of the bulbs in the 3 lowest buttons lights 2 buttons.
They are neo-wedge bulbs $3-$4

Didn't had the time to check coz its night when i'm coming from work. Hopefully its just bulbs or fuse. To be more specific on which buttons are not lighted i put this picture.

Re: vent mode control light+read defogger button lights out
When i started connecting the new 2 din cd i thought i will manage like on my previous car but i blew a fuse coz the wires weren't same color. So now i left them all cut ant isolated till weekend when i will have time to fix. Is it possible the 2 buttons are not lit because the wires from the radio are not connected to anything? If any of you know the correct wiring diagram for the radio (civic sedan 2002) please do tell coz i found 2 over the internet and there are not the same.
My presumption is the fallowing:
RED/BLACK - ILLUMINATION
YELLOW/RED - IGNITION/accessories
WHITE/RED - BATTERY
BLACK - GROUND
BLUE/WHITE - LR+
BLUE/BLACK - LR-
PINK - RR+
BLUE/YEL - RR-
GRN/BLACK - FL+
IT.GREEN - FL-
GRN/YEL - FR+
GRY/RED - FR-
Thank you for your opinions.

Don't connect the illumination wire. It damages stuff. I've heard of people repairing the solder traces.

Re: vent mode control light+read defogger button lights out
They look correct...you cut the plugs !!!
RED/BLK has +12volts when the parking lights are on...it is tapped off of the taillight relay switched contacts.
RED is from the dash lamps brightness controller.
As mentioned both should be left disconnected (but isolated!)
If the other controls were illuminating with lights on...? I still think bulbs.

Huh RED? there is no pure red wire. Ok RED/BLACK the illumination i will leave it isolated, anything else?
Another problem i saw the black frame of the double din HU can't be installed coz the place on civic is a little inside and the frame is to thick. Only option i can imagine here is to try cutting the frame or finding another frame compatible with the HU which i don't think will be possible.
Thanks for advice and guidance till now.

Guys its crazy i'm trying to install the HU now and when i connect red/white (12v on the car) with the yellow on the HU (12v on HU it says on it) doesn't power normal just when i press eject or display its powers the display and wants to eject de cd and it closes lights in 2 seconds. I took multimeter and measured the red/white and there is nothing also measured directly on battery and its 12.6 . WTF is going on? How the hell there is nothing on the red/black but it powers the crap just a little. I tested the HU on PC power supply and it works ok.

Re: vent mode control light+read defogger button lights out
Check fuse #9 (10 amp) in under-hood box.
The yellow on the aftermarket unit is most likely the memory lead (constant 12 volts) have you connected the aftermarkets red lead (switched 12 volts)? and properly grounded the aftermarkets black lead ?
In most cases you have to have both constant & switched voltage for the unit to power.

Re: vent mode control light+read defogger button lights out
I installed the HU today its working great but i had a problem, the accessories wire had no power (i messured it with the contact on). I connected both battery and accessories directly to battery. Also the 2 bulbs from the buttons are burned. Where can i find appropriate led's to replace all the bulbs? I took the burned bulb out ( the windows demisting one) but now none of the 3 buttons under the HU light (ac, recirculation, windscreen demisting) any idea?
