HID not working
ok so my first kit that i installed into my car was defective so i sent them back to procivic and they said it was because of bad ballasts so they supposedly replaced them and i go to install them and they still dont work.
so my question is, is there any way i can fix them myself or a way to find out what is wrong with them or do i have to see if i can send them back again and hopefully they send me that actually works.

Re: HID not working
well the warranty is useless, it costs about the same for you to pay shipping both ways to get a replacement than to buy a new one. in fact they even tell you its faster and cheaper to just buy a new one when it dies then to go thru warranty and have to send it back. but they are pretty cheap and those ballasts are all coming from the same place so i say go with whats cheaper, the quality is the same.

Re: HID not working
I just order my the 9006 kit which is your low beam and i upgraded with the slim ballast so it looks better with 15k bulbs which are purple.. To upgrade to slim ballast cost an extra 15 to 20 bucks and if you want yellow or purple bulbs thats also 15 to 20 bucks as well.. you could just get the basic kit with like 8k bulbs and you'll be set

Re: HID not working
get either 4300k or 6000k. any higher than that and you'll have less light than your stock halogen's and you will have a hard time seeing at night.

Re: HID not working
I purchased form DDM before for a kit for a HID foglight setup. I give their stuff the thumbs up. I suggested the 6000k, as the 4300 was a little too warm/yellow for me.

Re: HID not working
cops might care with lights where you live but here they dont.. I dont care about other drivers on the road. if they dont like it thats there problem.. Better to be different then be the same as everyone else

Re: HID not working
does anyone have the adjustable retro-solutions.com ballasts? they are super expensive but i havent been able to find this type of unit anywhere else. its 30-50w with 5 different settings. 30/35/40/45/50 watts to adjust in the car from a switch. that way the bulb can be kept on low to save life when driving in bad weather or in the city where brightness isnt a big deal, then turn them up more on darker roads.

Re: HID not working
i actually like the purple with the yellow fogs. blue with yellow would look better in my opinion but its still nice.its different.
but i emailed procivic about a return they are telling me to switch the ballasts from side to side. already did that like a million times and they're telling me crap like make sure they are not in the high beam spot. its pretty obvious which one is which on my car. and they are saying that they tested the parts and replaced the ballasts before they sent it out but i call bs on that cause i remember i scratched one of the ballasts when i was trying to disassemble it and the scratch is still there.
all i can say is dont order from them.
