01 civic ex sedan cluster and interior light issue???

Ok, its probaly been covered before but i need some help on what to do next since my gf civic guages keep dieing and the radio interior lights go out.

Before this all started to happen, her civic had a cam pos sensor that went bad and she tried to keep driving it but it died on the h-way. She had it towed to a shop which they replaced the sensor and said there was a fault for the ELD that would not clear (p1298 or something i forget). She refused for the repair so ever since then the cars cluster/gauges would die in and out and sometimes just completely be inop and the cluster/lights and dash light would not come on. I can see the dash and cluster trying to come on but it just doesn't have enough juice. Oh yeah the SRS light came on also. (going to do the manual reset)
I've checked the harness under the intake mani to see if it was rubbing causing the cluster to act up but it was fine, so i replaced the ELD figuring it would fix it, but after doing that the cluster and lighting completely died.
What do you guys suggest i can do next? Could it be the cluster or a bad ground?? (fuses are ok)

Vehicle can still be driven and all the exterior lights operate fine. Just the cluster and the dash lights dies.

Any suggestions?? before i would take it to the dealer which i dont want to.

The control for the other dash lights is part of the cluster, Are the needles dropping out as this occurs ?? Indicators still all work ??

Yes the needles drops and/or just doesn't move at all. just stays at 0.
the signals and high beam icon works on the cluster and the only thing that illuminate is the brake light and srs even the noise that indicates that the headlights are on doesn't work. radio and everything else works just fine.

Any ideas??

I think the problem could be the cluster, I know it is somewhat common on the early 7th gens. Not sure if anyone has a fix short of replacement. Maybe Gearbox or someone could chime in ( I have never had one apart)

i will probaly take the cluster out and see if there is a loose connection of some sort. If anyone can still chime in it would be great.
Thanks
