I've been looking around and I've found that you can get a direct connection to your OEM stereo with an adapter like this. But from what it says there and elsewhere if you already have the in-dash cd changer it won't work.

But if you scroll down to the bottom of the page there's a bullet point that says:

If you want to keep the Slave CD Player/changer, you can use: X3HON98-POD

Could you really get both the CD changer and iPod hook up working with that?

I wouldn't say ditch the CD change right away, as most music downloaded from itunes is actually a lot lower quality than CDs

I would have to agree. You can put higher quality music on a flash drive than an iPod.

Not to mention I see a lot of iPod cables failing or the iPod is just incompatible with the current player.

Well 99%of the music on my iPhone isn't from Apple, it's CD's I own. The quality sounds find. All I want to do is get it to plug into my stereo without an FM transmitter.

i dont know why ou all are dissing ipod sound quality. yes itunes song suck, but you still put uncompressed music on therre. and the difference you wont even notice on a stock deck. my ipod has 320kb/s average songs and sounds wonderful through my alpine/polks

i was lucky enough to find my SE radio on ebay for $100 shipped. only a few minor scratches on the chrome part, but nothing too biggie...didn't have the remote though, but it works perfectly!

i guess i have an 02 SE sedan now! :P

just get a cd deck with a ipod aux input on the front. You can buy them as low as $99.
