Front door panel.

I want to open up my doors and put new speakers on.

I been looking searching for a DIY thread and found something similar to my car but not exactly.

the link i looked at is this...

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...upe-sedan.html

there it shows that i should pop out a little panel, inside the door handle. .. but the problem is, my door does not have that panel. please see attached pictures of my door.

Please help!!

Need guide lines of how to open the front door panel.

Thanks in advanced...

Re: Front door panel.

....looks like it is Right Hand Drive too... (only the one window button on that side)...

hmmm.....doing a little checking.

how about in the little pocket-tray there on the left edge...are their screws in there, or a little cover hiding a screw in there?

ALSO, it would seem like the handle there has a cover that would come off....NOT the smooth part, but where it wraps around a bit. i see a little gap at the very bottom of the handle where it looks like it would be able to be pryed off...if so, i would imagine there are two screws deep in there (one on top, the other on the bottom)

i'm also going to take a guess, that you have a 5-door hatch civic???

Re: Front door panel.

Try looking around the door panel to see if there are any other latches or screws holding down the door. Unfortunately, I don't think you can use the DIY guide as a guide for your Civic.

Re: Front door panel.

ok, i was just guessing. i like the 5 doors as well.

have you tried over at ephatch.com?

http://www.s10blazed.com/ephatch/Hon...ice_Manual.pdf

i found the service manual in Adobe Acrobat there....it shows door panel removal starting on page 20-4

there is this one as well:

http://www.k-series.com/tech_detail....PEAKER_INSTALL

and that panel i was talking abuot in my previous post is where you're supposed to start...
hope this works for you...!

Re: Front door panel.

seems like that whole piece would pop out, cause you have to have a way to pry off the wire thats attached to the handle, otherwise the panel wont come off
