ok so i was installing a four channel amp and wiring the four speakers up, infinitys up front, alpine type rs in the back, something wasnt working right because i couldnt get all four channels to produce sound, so i pulled the console out to change the rca plugs in the cd player to test different connections and everything powered down, the deck the headlights everything, i checked the fuses and noticed i blew a fuse for the cd player. the cigarette accesory power works, the car will beep with the keys in the egnition, the interior lights work but the locks down work, the keyless doenst work, the headlights, low or high, so im thinkin ive done something to the secruity system to shut the car down, what can i do or is this a problem for a honda tech and a deep lightening of my bank account? when i flip the headlights on it makes a buzzing sorta sound in the console.

Is the "back up" fuse in the under hood box o.k. ??

its an 02 civic coupe, i checked all the fuses under the hood and under the dash, which one is the back up fuse?

Fuse #9 = 10 Amp, under hood fuse box.

It is for some items requiring constant power source.

i highly doubt its that cuz no fuses were blown under the hood and i dont think the ignition would be set up on that fuse.

Is the illumination (orange) wire from your HU safely capped/tapped off? If you have an after-market HU then the orange wires would be hanging around. If they touch metal they MAY short out a fuse (I forget which one off the top of my head but it's under the hood).

Check if those wires are capped.
