fog light question???
okay i bought a 02 civic ex coupe that has aftermarket fog lights which i assume the previous owner did himself...but cant find the switch for them!!
i followed the fog light wires and they lead into a red clear tube (this starts under the hood passenger side) and it ends up going somewhere in the center console cause i can see the wire lead into there by crouching under the steering wheel and looking towards the center console and can see it....
soo could this mean it is hooked up to the stock headlight harness with the flip of the headlight the fog would turn on or is it a dead end??
by the way i wouldnt be able to check it cause the fog light light bulbs are burnt out and im going to replace them soon...

Re: fog light question???
alright update...i bought a new bulb still isnt working but i found the switch!!!!!turns out it was under the steering wheel all hidden and stuff...but now it still is working everytime i turn the switch on the relay makes a clicking sound!!! what does this mean??the relay is bad??
Re: fog light question???
haha no, when a relay is activated it's SUPPOSED to make the clicking noise, that means it's working. I'll see if I can find a diagram of the inside of a relay so you can see what's making the noise.
Re: fog light question???
This is your basic interior of a relay.

What's happening is you got four connections on your basic relay, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. When a signal is passed through the right side, the gate/switch flicks over and closes so the current can pass through. That's the clicking noise.
