Problems with keyless entry

Someone on here had the same problem but didn't post how they fixed it.
I have installed an Si gauge cluster and had a problem with the cruise control, so I put back in the Ex cluster and now the Keyless entry, Radio, ('code' doesn't even appear) and Power Door locks don't work. Also there is no beeping when the key is in the ignition or when the lights are on and the key is out. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Re: Problems with keyless entry

You have a 01-05 civic?
I know with some of the previous generation civics, those features were all tied together somehow on the same circuit and there was a special wire harnass that was required to install a head unit...

Yes I have an 01 Ex sedan. I have checked the fuses and they all look good.

Re: Problems with keyless entry

All I can say is start some place.. probably at points where things don't work.. like your door lock switch and behind your radio and test for power.. if there's power there, then you move on.. there are only so many places you can look. When you "checked" your fuses, did you just pull them out and look at them or did you actually test for resistance in it? Sometimes a blown fuse doesn't look blown at all. Sometimes it's partially blown... like if you test for continuity and your DMM beeps, but if you test resistance, you read like.. .150398518k Ohms (That's just me throwing a number out there) you know the fuse is bad.

Check "back up" fuse in under hood box. 10 amps.

Re: Problems with keyless entry

Thanks, I went through the fuses and found that the 'back up' fuse was partially blown. I changed it and everything is good. Hopefully this week I can
fix the Si cluster problem then post a diy.

Re: Problems with keyless entry

The only real problem with the Si cluster was that the cruise control is
always on. The right turn signal when on would blink the cruise control light but the turn signal still worked. This afternoon I am going to put the Si cluster back and see if we can figure out this prob.

Re: Problems with keyless entry

I was relieved to find this Thread using the search button. I though I had a serious problem with all of the same symptoms. I am on my way to get a replacement fuse. However, which fuse is the "back up" fuse that you guys mentioned previously?

Re: Problems with keyless entry

It is in the under hood box fuse #9 = 10 Amps (nothing larger !!)

There are also spare fuses in both boxes.
