Re: Simple Question
i believe there is a relay that gets power from the headlight circuit. just wire it up to a constant power source, or something that's switched by the ignition, like the radio. i'll probably be doing this when i install mine.
I wil fix vBPlaza today

Re: Simple Question
I'm basically in love with partsexpress.com The pricing is really good and they carry a lot of other stuff too aside from just parts. I ordered two MTX loudspeakers for my guitar from them!

Re: Simple Question
You dont even need a relay. Powersource (battery or fuse box) with inline fuse, to switch, ground from switch, power from switch to foglight harness. I think I am using a 20 or 25 amp fuse in mine, but depending on what year car you have, the bulbs and therefore the current is going to be different.

Re: Simple Question
So you're probably better off running a relay just to be on the safe side. It's like $1.50 and you're good up to 30 amps. Sometimes up to 40 depending on the kind you get.

Re: Simple Question
pretty much. after burning up so many switches in the past, i'd rather be safe than sorry. i haven't had a single switch go bad on me since i've been using relays.

Re: Simple Question
on my oem fogs, i just went behind the switch and cut the wire that got hot only when headlights were on and connected it to the 12v socket power. so i can use em whenever the ACC is active. here is with parking lights, but they can stay on whenever the key is in.
