Dash lights not working.
Dash lights not working.
need help! my car did not come with an owners manal. I instaled a CD player now my dash lights and automatic stick shift lights do not work! anyone have any ideas? where are the fuses? all in the engine? which one is it?
Re: Dash lights not working.
I'd check Fuse #2 (15A) underneath the hood, fusebox is on passenger side of vehicle. Hopefully it's not something more severe. Also might want to make sure you don't have any orange wires at the deck hooked up for now. Sounds like one of them may have shorted out and blown a fuse.

Re: Dash lights not working.
I recently had to change my Pioneers out.
The combination I had that has worked fine for 2 years is:
Metra harness Orange, going to Pioneer Orange/White.
Metra harness Orange/White isolated with heat shrink (or tape)
The 7th gen dash design will just about fade out the display on any unit you install, but it is nice to have them dim at night.

Re: Dash lights not working.
If your harness has an orange/black you'll want to cap that off as well. I would leave all the oranges unhooked until you get the dash lights working and then make the connection as Craig explained. How did that fuse look?
