PLEASE HELP!!! subwoofer makes weird sound

i just installed a pioneer mono amp 360 RMS with 2 12" subs at 150 RMS each, and at first they sounded ok, but the next day, the subs would make a weird "thump" sound each time i change the track on a cd or a new radio station. any1 know what the problem could be??

im guessing you have an outdated or old head unit...alot of the older ones do that.. so i would look into a new one if it is old.

check the connections to your radio. It sounds like a grounding problem

actually i got a clarion head unit to go with it, but yeah , my ground wire from my amp to the back might be wrong i don't know, because i bolted it to a screw on the underside of the rear deck , which i ain't sure is metal because it doesn't feel like it...

yeah, find some bare metal on the chassis and bolt the amp ground to that. take some sandpaper and sand off a small patch of paint if needed. just make sure you get bare metal.

yeah , it probably is the ground wire from the amp, i grounded the ground wire to the under part of the rear deck which is probably like some sort of plastic , not metal, but yeah thanks for all the help guys =]
