Dome light not coming on?

Is the dome light supposed to come on when the doors are ajar?

It's a 2004 LX with no modifications whatsoever.

Thanks!

Yes, If the car is running or the key is in ignition they fade off as last door is closed. The door switches can get damaged easy.

Fuse #3 = 7.5 Amp in under-hood box.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually talking about when the car is not running at all. Are they supposed to come on then?

Yeah, you have 3 different setting on there. Off, on (light is constant), and on when the doors open.

what he means by that is there is a little switch on the lamp itself the middle will open when the doors are open, all the way to the left is off always(i think) and to the right is always on(i think) it might be vise versa but check that first, its really easy to do.
