Question Fog Light Problem!

Aight, I'm one of those bastards with Ebay Fog Lights...I've got an 01 Civic EX..heres my situation...

I've installed the Ebay Fogs, after finding out that the switch and wire harness was crap, I called Honda to find out if they sold a switch harness (the entire fog light harness for that matter) seperately from the kit for a 2001...they DON'T! So, me and the guy came to the conclusion that the 04 kit would work. Everything is fine and dandy now, except for one wire....I have the red wire coming from switch harness that needs to hook up to some power.

A) Do I splice this wire into the red/white wire behind the steering wheel that controls the parking light/high beam switch? (I'm assuming I do)
or
B) Can I splice that red wire into the parking light wire directly?

I'm assuming at this point I only need power to get these running as the actual button is lit up in the car..any help would be great. Its simple I know, I been a lazy ***. Help is appreciated!

He's not missing anything. There are about 3-4 different kits floating around ebay. 1 of which works OK. The other 3 are these POS kits that about 80% of people recieve.

and sl33pyriceboi do you two still have the ebay seller? im thinking about purchasing foglights either oem style or hella optilux.

I always thought honda sells the harness and switch seperatly.

ive had ebay fogs for about 2 months...work perfectly fine. we bypassed the relay and hooked it up to a switch from autozone. was easy and looks clean.
spent about $45...a lot better than 250 or w/e!!

Re: Fog Light Problem!

i was originally considering buying the password jdm yellow lens foglights but reading this thread.. made me realize that im way too cheap for it and would rather pay $40 than $150 + shipping. the fogs on ebay are majority of clear lens and im looking for yellow lens. help would be appreciated! thanks.
