I Used 170sq.ft of Brown Bread from B-Quiet Extreme.. 2 layers on the front doors inner door and 2 layes on the doorskins for the front doors. 1 layer on the rear doors. 2 layers on the floor(3 on the firewall) 1 layer in my trunk basin, 2 on the trunk walls and trunk lid. 1 layer under the hoodliner, and 3 layers around the rear strut towers..

I still have about 14sq.ft leftover..

You can get 140Sq.ft of Brown bread for less than $300 shipped....

B-Quiet.com

Stuff is super eas to work with.. took me 3 days to do my entire car..

Cheers
Mohawk

Damn Mohawk. Your car must be as quiet as a Lexus or Benz. If you put on a couple of layers, isnt it harder to get the panel pieces back on. How thick is that stuff anyway?

I Only used multiple layers on the firewall and trunk. No panels..just carpet..and the doors you can use 3 layers on the inside of the door and 2 on the outside and everything stil fits snug.. I Also used a 30foot roll of 3m 1/4" adhesive foam tape on the iside of all the panles so nothing rattles.. and it's actually quieter than my uncles Lexus ES300..except for one air leak on the passenger side door but I Ordered oversized Butyl rubber sealees for my doors so that's won't be a problem in about 3 weeks

I Spent well voer $1k in my last car on Dynamat Extreme.. It does not work better.. damping wise.. Brown Bread is the same as Dynamat Extreme.. Brown bread is MUCH easier to work with and ALOT cheaper.. Regulat RAAM Mat isn't as good as Dynamat extreme or Brown bread.. but RAAM60 is slightly better than both. Same deadener as Brown Bread 1.6mm Bitumen.. with one hell of an adhesive..not to mention it's more flexible than anything else half as good on the market.

it doesn't cut outside noise.. I Blew out my original seal on the drivers side when I Cranked my system at 28Hz lol..Oversized seals seal better so I figured it couldn't hurt

I guess I really wouldn't need that unless I blew one of mine or something.

Hey guys.. I've been thinking about sound dampening my car and I never have worked with any of this stuff. I take it that it is adhesive backed? Also, what part of the car should be done first, then next and why? Any recomendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated !

yeah... i bet you'll like it after do some dampening. I'd start w/ the trunk if you have subs... otherwise maybe the doors.

I've done my entire trunk and w/ this next roll I get I'm doing the doors and floors.

Trunk lid and doors first for best results 1 roll will do the trunk lid, botto side of the rear deck and both doors if you have a coupe.. that will give you he most bang for the $$$

I am buying 2 rolls of that RAAM Mat. that should cover the trunk, 4 doors, and floor right? floor will be the last thing if I have enough.
