Curious question.

How much upgraded HP (boost as well) can a 7thgen EX coupe take and still be a daily driver?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.

It isn't a dumb question, but you must do a search first. This site has been around for 1 1/2 years now so pretty much everything is covered. Please do a search before you ask questions. That way you will be informed and won't get flamed!

Ok heres another one, but the search engine returned no results on "si engine swap".

My local dealershiip parts department told me that I could very well swap a new Si engine into say, an EX or DX if I wanted to. Is this true? And if so what would be your guestimation on engine price and installation?

why swap the Si engine when you can do one better and get the RSX-S engine? It will cost more, but it can be done. There is only one person that has done it and it cost him alot of money. When you search, don't be so specific. If you are interested in an swap, then just type swap or engine swap, not SI engine swap. That is too specific. We aren't trying to be mean, but there is so much on this site already if you just search for it.

You were right, I just now called, almost $10,000 for just the parts, I was like "Uhh....thanks..."

I really would like a 7th gen coupe, but I am just scouting out semi-horsepower routes.

I'm more of a show than go car, I'd still atleast like to have a nice little 200HP civic, but nothing crazy.

What do you guys think the best way of going from 127HP to 200HP would be? I/H/E would net about 15-20HP, but what after that? Turbo? Super?

I don't want to touch NOS, to risky for me.

Again, please search. The D series engine responds very poorly to mods. You will not get 15-20 hp from I/H/E. There are only a few people with custom turbos and right now they are running low boost because there are no internal mods. There will probably not be any internal mods, turbos, or superchargers for the D series engine. If you are looking for something with power, this car is NOT it. It will never be fast unless you drop alot of money into it. if you want fast, look into the Sentra Se-R. Their parts are more expensive and, in my opinion, don't look as good, but they have a lot of power. The civic, in my mind, looks the best in its class, but if you want fast get something else. Again, do a search.

the reasons we sound like broken records is because new people come in and ask the same tired, already covered questions over and over and over again. We just get tired of answering the same question constantly. That is what a search button is for. You are lucky that people didn't get in this thread and flame the crap out of you! There are some people that are very frustrated with the old questions and are quick to jump down noobs' throats.

I understand about repetitive questions, but the way you make it sound, I should do a 'search' for anything I want to ask, even if its "Should I get Taco Bell for lunch?".

Look, I know how you feel, but a forum is for discussion, if these people are so fustrated with the same questions, why respond to the post. I'm sure some people here are more than happy to help, even if its an age old question.
