Alarm is freakin out. Why???

My car alarm just started freakin out the other day. When I get within a 200 foot radius of it or so, meaning my remote to unlock it, it unlocks/locks itself and the alarm starts going off sometimes. I hit the button for it to stop, but it stops then I hear it unlocking again and again. Anyone know whats up?

I never had a problem with it before, just with the remote battery coming lose but I fixed that. Also we got a ton of rain the other day and I was driving in water up to the bottom of my door, but the alarm is high up under the hood unless it got wet from rain and wind, I'm totally clueless here.

im assuming you mean the siren for your alarm? The brain being exposed to the elements could easily be the culprit

as for the locks, mine had sort of a similar problem. the pieces used to splice into the other wires came loose when it went from cold weather to hot back to cold. they alarm guy knew what it was right away and just replaced them. he said it sumtimes happens with severe weather changes. let me know dustin and i will show u what im talkin about. no clue on the alarm tho
