New Solution to SRS Light problems
Guys and Gals,
If you have had your ODPS unit replaced because of a code 1502 or 1503 SRS light (This is when the dealer tells you that it was caused by a laptop or some kind of electronic device on the passenger seat) and your SRS light turned back on even after replacing the unit here is the new solution:
The reason the SRS light turns back on is because not only do they have to replace the ODPS unit but also the Seat Sensors in order to completely fix the problem and preventing the light from coming back on. The reason I know this is because after replacing my ODPS unit for the second time, the SRS light came back on. I took it to another dealership and they informed me that the original dealership was only doing half the job by replacing the ODPS unit.
