also, my friend is lending me his 840watt amp.. so that might've done it too... BOO! THIS SUCKS!

That's the exact reason why I have a "Winter System" that I kick the crap out of of. and only put my good stuff back in in late spring .
Sucks Bro. Is it under warranty?

<< i thought it was worse for subs when it was hot then cold... cause i KNOW that my subs hit harder when its cold compared to when its hot >>
Hmm...I have two 12" Punch XLC's and I KNOW they don't hit harder when it's cold. In fact, they sound down right $hitty. That's why I refuse to play 'em loud unless it's at least 45 degrees(f) outside. If it's below 32 degrees, I don't use 'em at all. I turn the sub output off on my HU.

oh thats why... my definition of really cold is 60 degrees. doesn't get to cold here... but ya it hits harder when its 60 compared to 100 degrees. maybe its different when its 20 or even 0 degrees....

Okay...yeah, they prolly do hit better when it's 60 vs 100. I didn't bother to look at your location...and just assumed that you meant temps like we get here in good ol' Indiana. Lol. Must be nice livin' in Cali.

yea theyre sort of under warranty.. i get it from Gibralter Trade Center. i get my stuff cheaper there, and i know the guy that works the stereo stuff.. so he cuts me deals. so i just traded in both of my subs and my amp, and came out with 2 10" Boss subs.. peak of 500watts. and i have my friends 840watt 2chan power acoustic amp. so they basically sound liek 12s.
I'm in MI and i've never had a problem with my subs blowing. the way you keep them from blowing is not to turn them up very loud for about 15 to 20 minutes. once they warm up there fine. also the heat in the summer time isn't that big of a factor on subs as it is on amp
